Portable Appliance Testing

New for 2009, we have added a very competetively priced Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and Microwave Radiation Leakage testing to the range of services we can offer.

To help you comply with the wide (and confusing) range of legislation in force, our technicians can conduct In-Service Inspection and Testing on an extensive range of electrical appliances and equipment including;

•  Portable Appliances
•  Power Tools (230v & 110v)
•  IT Equipment
•  Residual Current Devices (RCD's)

and the type of tests we can conduct are;

•  Format Visual Inspections
•  Earth Bond Testing
•  Insulation Resistance
•  Earth Leakage Testing
•  Flash Testing
•  Load & Function
•  Industry Specific Testing
•  Microwave Radiation Leakage

All tests are carried out in accordance with the IEE Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment and each test site is provided with a CD containing printable certificates.

Legal Requirements

The following Legislation is of specific relevance to Electrical Maintenance and, if you fall within it's scope, PAT is required.

• Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
• Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992
• Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
